Types of Flooring Remnants Available
Carpet
We have a wide selection of carpet remnants in our warehouse at Floor Factors. The remnants we carry range in style, from high-end hand-made wool carpets that initially cost more than $100 per square yard to affordable nylon carpets and durable commercial carpets.
Whether you’re looking to install carpeting from wall to wall in a room or just need an area rug to protect your hardwood floors, we have an option to suit your specific needs. At times, we receive large rolls of carpeting with enough area to cover an entire home or office floor. No matter what size or shape you seek, we will do our best to find a quality remnant option that works for you.
Linoleum & Sheet Vinyl
We also offer a large variety of sheet vinyl and linoleum remnants. A majority of our sheet vinyl remnants range from 6’ to 6’7” in width and typically average about 10’ to 20’ in length. This sizing is ideal for most kitchens, bathrooms, or even laundry/utility rooms. On occasion, larger rolls of linoleum and vinyl flooring materials are available. These rolls are large enough to cover vast commercial spaces and come at a third of the price as new material.
Vinyl Composite Tiles
Vinyl composite tiles are typically used in vintage-inspired kitchens and bathrooms where a black and white checkered tile look is desired. They’re also used in commercial spaces due to the material’s durability and affordability.
Despite being one of the least expensive flooring products, especially as a remnant, vinyl composite tile is considerably durable. The material is commercially-rated and is often used in heavy trafficked areas of businesses such as grocery stores, warehouses, and commercial bathrooms.
Luxury Vinyl Tiles
Luxury vinyl tile has increased in sales more than any other flooring product over the past few years. Since it’s generally marketed as a water-resistant flooring material, it is ideal for areas where the floor may get wet, such as basements and bathrooms. Here in Oregon, basement floods can be a common occurrence. Luxury vinyl tile can be installed in a space that is prone to flooding and still maintain the product’s warranty, which is almost unheard of for flooring material. If this sounds like a product that would work in your space, feel free to stop by and look at our selection, which ranges from standard glue-down to a “click” installation method.
Hardwood Remnants
As with new hardwood flooring, wood remnants can vary significantly in the type, style, and quality of the material. The remnants can range from engineered exotics to solid native woods and will vary in age. If you’re in the market for hardwood flooring and are on a budget, it’s always a good idea to come down and check out what we currently have in stock. At any given time, we may have enough wood remnant material to cover your specific needs.
Porcelain, Ceramic & Natural Stone Tile
Our tile remnants make up a small portion of our selection, but if you’re in the market for a backsplash or plan to cover a small bathroom floor or shower wall, we are constantly generating tile remnants that are perfect for these small applications. We do occasionally get large quantities of tile and can let you know what we have in stock.
